Research Projects - CEO Research

People at the corporate officer level face unique challenges in today's complex environments, with CEO turnover occurring more rapidly than ever before. While change at the top can be beneficial for organizations, it can also work to destabilize organizational systems and processes. This research program will include a longitudinal study focused on better understanding the personal, career and environmental factors that impact CEO tenure, and the impact of that churn in both private and public sector organizations. We are also looking at the development experiences CEOs see as most beneficial in preparing for the demands they face at this level, and how they define their most significant legacy.
