Financial Times Ranks CCL No. 3 Worldwide for Executive Education

May 10, 2010 - Greensboro, NC - The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) ranked No. 3 overall — up three spots from last year — in the 2010 Financial Times worldwide survey of executive education released today. This is CCL's highest ranking since it began taking part in the survey in 2002.

CCL has placed in the survey's overall Top 10 for six straight years, putting it in the company of many of the world's elite business schools. It is the only institution in the survey focused exclusively on leadership education and research. The survey ranked 50 institutions globally.

CCL, with offices in North America, Europe and Asia, also ranked No. 6 worldwide for custom programs and No.7 for open-enrollment programs.

The Financial Times ranks custom providers in several sub-categories. CCL placed in the Top 10 in seven of them: future use, value for money; teaching methods and materials; faculty, new skills and learning; aims achieved; and facilities.

In open-enrollment, CCL also ranked in the Top 10 in seven sub-categories: aims achieved; course design; teaching materials; faculty; follow-up; preparation; and new skills and learning.

The Financial Times executive education rankings were based on surveys of organizations and individuals from around the world who rated leading executive education providers, such as Harvard, Wharton, INSEAD and IMD, for quality and impact.

"We always strive to listen to our clients and to provide high-quality solutions for them," CCL President John Ryan said. "We're grateful for the feedback they offer through this survey, and it inspires us to do even better. I'm especially proud of my talented colleagues at CCL; they earned this recognition through the hard, innovative work they do everyday."

This is the second set of high rankings CCL has received in the past six months. In November, BusinessWeek rated CCL among the world's Top 5 providers of executive education.
