Center for Creative Leadership - 2001 News Release: Center for Creative Leadership Ranked #1 in Leadership in BusinessWeek's Biennial Executive Education Survey

BusinessWeek

Greensboro, N.C. - For the second consecutive time, the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) was ranked number one in leadership in the BusinessWeek Executive Education Special Report (October 2001). Corporate management development executives surveyed by BusinessWeek picked the Center as top in Leadership, ahead of Harvard, Michigan, INSEAD and University of Pennsylvania. The Center was also ranked fourth in Custom Programs.

Again, the Center was the only non-business school to break BusinessWeek's Top 20 list of providers of non-degree programs for executives. The Center was ranked among a number of prestigious business schools including Harvard, Northwestern, Stanford, and London Business School.

"We are delighted to be ranked number one in leadership again and to be the only non-business school among the top 20 executive education providers," said CCL President John Alexander. "For more than 30 years our mission has been to advance the understanding, practice and development of leadership for the benefit of society worldwide. We are honored to be recognized for our work in expanding the leadership capabilities of both individuals and organizations."

BusinessWeek 2001 rankings are based on the results of 210 surveys received from directors of leadership and executive development at companies worldwide. The special report, in addition to rankings, provides in-depth information about the current state of executive education, the needs of business, and profiles of business schools and other providers.

BusinessWeek's Executive Education Special Report appears in the Oct. 15, 2001 issue of the magazine, on newsstands Monday, Oct. 8. The issue is currently available on BusinessWeek's Web site.
